IWEX celebrates 25 years at the NEC

Sustainable water management is now accepted as one of the most pressing environmental issues facing governments across the world, with water shortages widely predicted as a direct result of increased global warming and human activity.

The necessity for companies to adopt a sustainable water management system provides a compelling backdrop to the International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX) 2011, which will celebrate both its 25th anniversary, and its position as the UK’s premier water industry event when it returns to the NEC Birmingham from 24th - 26th May 2011.

IWEX has become one of the most accredited and largest forums in the country for water organisations and utilities companies. It attracts buyers, specifiers and decision-makers from across the water and effluent industry who come to see the very latest advances in water technologies and innovative solutions to sustainable water management.

Faversham House Group, which organises the event is keen to build on the success of the previous year, as evidenced by feedback from exhibitors. Huw Thomas, Sales Director of MSE Hiller said in his feedback following IWEX 2010: “MSE Hiller have exhibited at each and every IWEX exhibition for the last 7 years, it remains our first choice exhibition for the waste water treatment sector and this year's exhibition again managed to exceed my expectations.”

Event director Donna Bushell says: “No other event in the UK provides such an outstanding showcase event for the water and effluent industry – it really is the event of the year for many of our visitors and exhibitors, and it continues to go from strength to strength. Sustainable water management is becoming a major focus for governments, both in this country and abroad, and I think that’s why we may be seeing an increase in investment and innovation with an ever-increasing number of products being launched at the show.”

IWEX forms part of Sustainabilitylive! which brings together the National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX), Brownfield Expo (BEX), Environmental Technology (ET), and Sustainable Business - The Event (SB).

IWEX will be held in Halls 3 and 3a at the NEC from 24th – 26th May 2011. For up to date exhibitor news, features programmes, information on how to exhibit or how to register for free attendance visit www.sustainabilitylive.com or call +44 (0)20 8651 7106.
