IWEX Exhibition and WET News Acquired by Faversham House Group

Faversham House Group Ltd (FHG) has agreed to acquire IWEX, the UK’s dedicated event for the water industry, from Turret Group, along with its water publications WET News and the Who’s Who in the Water Industry directory. After the 2005 show, the exhibition will move to spring dates in 2007 alongside FHG’s portfolio of complementary exhibitions which includes ET (Environmental Technology), NEMEX (the national energy management exhibition) and ICU (International Clean Up).

“We are delighted to be making this acquisition. IWEX is a strong brand with a long history. We will retain continue to focus on providing exhibitors with visitors who can and do buy. As with our other exhibitions, we will also ensure that all visitors have the opportunity to benefit from an educational and training programme second to none.” commented Amanda Barnes, FHG’s joint managing director. “WET News, Who’s Who in the Water Industry directory and www.web4water.com, will complement our stable of high quality water and environmental publications and our environmental website www.edie.net. This underlines our commitment to the water and environment industry still further”.

Turret is now looking at a number of potential acquisitions and new business developments”

 

The IWEX 2005 dates remain unchanged as 18-20 October 2005 at the NEC Birmingham. For 2007, IWEX dates will be 1 – 3 May 2007, NEC Birmingham.
