Sales Manager – Water & Environment

We are currently looking for an experienced sales manager to sell on our Water & Wastewater Treatment magazine. This will include selling across associated products including the edie website and the Water Industry Achievement Awards. The successful candidate will be managing a small team, required to develop strong client relationships within the industry to ensure the attainment of a high level of sales; to develop new sales leads and to maintain a database of possible advertisers and to monitor competitive magazines..
In addition to having at least 2 to 3 years field sales experience the successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Ideally have experience of managing sales people
- Be a motivated self starter
- Able to sell at all levels
- Willing to travel extensively across the UK on a weekly basis
- Committed to own & team goals
- Able to identify sales opportunities and to close sales
- An excellent communicator
- Have outstanding interpersonal skills
- Able to cope under pressure

Senior Journalist
Salary range £30 - £33k depending on experience

Utility Week is the weekly business magazine and website for the UK’s gas, electricity and water industries. We regularly break the key stories that influence decision makers in the industry and beyond.
As reporter on the energy sector you will join our six-strong editorial team to lead our coverage of the gas sector and take a broad role in developing the magazine and associated products for readers.
This is not a job for a new starter. Replacing one of the industry‘s most experienced reporters you will already have a proven track record. You will already have a deep knowledge of policy, environment, legal, financial and management issues in the sector and will bring high-level contacts within the industry and with its stakeholders.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a nose for news, and be ready to develop and deliver new ways of interacting with our readers. It is also expected you will have had your probation confirmed by Faversham House.

Group Digital Sales Manager - Water & Environment
Faversham House is recruiting for a Group digital sales manager in the water and environment division. This new position presents an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the expansion and development of our digital revenue streams. Reporting to the Head of Sales,you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of 6 sales people with a revenue line of approx £800,000 in the current year. Faversham House is making a significant investment in this area and looking for enhanced revenue growth. You will be expected to take responsibility for devising and delivering plans to increase these revenues to at least £1.2million over the following two years.
Essential requirements:
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading sales teams to success and meeting their targets
- Extensive sales management experience: At least 5 years of managing a team of 5 sales staff or more
- B2B digital knowledge: direct experience of working in B2B digital publishing
- Sound commercial judgement: the ability to identify and exploit projects/opportunities that are commercial winners

We are looking to recruit an experienced Online Editor who can draw on several years’ experience in B2B publishing to take overall responsibility for the operation, editorial content and direction of the heatingandventilating.net and acr-news.com websites and related sites.
As well as identifying and writing daily news, you will be responsible for developing user research and multimedia content. You will also develop and maintain social media outlets for both websites.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic and resourceful individual who is also commercially aware. He or she will also be confident representing the magazines and websites in the public arena at press conferences, exhibitions, etc.
