FHG in the community
We are actively involved in the community through our fund-raising for local charities and our extensive work experience programme for school children and students.
We always match any staff initiatives to raise money for charity whether it is through our annual DIY and Housewares product sale, organised by the Home Improvement Division or the Christmas Party raffle.
We see work experience placements as a vital link between us and the community and an opportunity for young people to understand and value our business. We provide a carefully devised programme to many students each year. They take part in a variety of activities which reflect the nature of the industry we are in and help them to experience the wider world of work. It is always an enriching exercise for the young people and us.
